Some of our egg donors are up for travel and others are not. When we profile our donors, they are asked this specific question. The donors who are willing to travel for appointments will be called to confirm they are still willing once selected.

There are many factors that contribute to this. Your egg donor will need to go to the IVF clinic at least twice during this process. The first appointment will be for her initial medical screening and the second time she will need to travel. The reason being is because she will be injected with medications that will require her travel to continue up to 7-10 days. The IVF doctor needs to check up on her status throughout the egg retrieval process. Your egg donor will need to compensate for air travel, hotel, and meals throughout her travel. Our egg donors are required to bring along a travel partner, which requires extra compensation. The IVF clinic will not release her from their clinic after the egg retrieval without their travel partner being there.
